Cortest Nuclear Flow Loop Systems are used for tensile, slow strain rate, and fatigue testing in supercritical steam environments. The flow loop has two sections: the low temperature low pressure section is used to establish the desired test chemistry in terms of dissolved gases and pH. Once the desired chemistry is established, the high purity water enters the high temperature high pressure section of the loop and is heated in pre-heaters before entering the autoclave. A full system consists of the recirculating loop, autoclave, load frame and controls.
