QUICKLY AND EASILY DETERMINE PROOF RING LOAD

The Cortest Proof Ring is combined with a load cell for a faster and easier method to measure and display the load on the specimen. Using a load cell to measure the load eliminates the need to measure proof ring deflection and mathematically calculate the effects of preload and temperature. This results in a more accurate measurement then with the Proof Ring alone, and allows for faster setup. Additionally the load cell allows for electronic data logging, remote monitoring, and integration with automated testing setups. 

The Proof Ring test system is the most widely used equipment for evaluating sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking behaviors of materials. The compact size, accuracy, and ease of use provides an economical means for testing multiple specimens simultaneously in a fume hood. Cortest Proof Rings were our original product in 1977 – they meet the testing requirements of NACE TM 0177 test method which is used to determine materials that meet the NACE material requirement of MR 0175. From Ambient Conditions to High Pressure and High Temperature, multiple types of vessels can be used with these proof rings to fulfill the requirements of even the most demanding application.
