High Temperature, High Pressure (HPHT) Circulating Flow Loops are used to test materials in high purity water environments. These systems can create supercritical and multiphase conditions such as those seen in Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and Boiling Water Reactors (BWR). Our HPHT Circulating Flow Loops include a pumping system, heaters, heat exchangers, filters, thermocouples, and equipment for measuring water conditions including dissolved oxygen, dissolved hydrogen, pH, and conductivity.
HPHT Circulating Flow Loops feed conditioned water to Autoclave systems including our Load Frames. Tensile tests, Slow Strain Rate tests (SSRT), Corrosion Fatigue Tests, and crack growth studies are performed using Cortest’s proprietary pull-through Autoclave. Control of the flow loop, autoclave, load frame, and crack growth measurements are integrated into a single computer and control module.
